Fashion Fanatic
As like any Friday night, I’m glued to the TV to watch TLC’s What Not to Wear before I head out and do anything else. Yes, all my friends know that I will not go out until I have seen the latest episode of What Not to Wear. Obsessive and crazy–maybe, but was I in for a treat after the show. I was surprised to find out that Stacy London was hosting another show immediately after What Not to Wear entitled, Fashion Fanatic. And let me tell you…what a freakin’ amazing show. It focused on a women’s most inner desires and passions: shoes and handbags! The in-depth reporting about Christian Louboutin, Sergio Rossi, Salvatore Ferragamo, Michel Perry, and Manolo Blahnik was mesmerizing, learning just how the handcrafting of each amazing shoes works and what goes into creating the perfect shoe. Who knew shoes consisted of so much architecture, physics, engineering, and anatomy? When all these factors are evident in a shoe, then you know it’s worth the hefty price tag! $$$
After this episode, I hope they continue to air more shows showcasing fashion designers and their masterpieces. And I know I’ve said it many times before, but Stacy London has the most amazing job ever…I’d do anything to have her job!

Hey Jo,
No harm done. We bloggers just get a little uneasy when people try to do the once-over ya know, with the whole copy and paste thing. But I realized your comments were original and totally different besides the end part, so sorry and dont take offense. I definetly dont think anything worse of you. Good Post and keep up the good work. Also, one thing everyone tells me is to try and put at least one pic with your posts. I know you are talkin about a show here, but anything you find relevant is helpful and more visually appealing. And below maybe put a pic of yourself. I know my friend over at My Fashion Life was going crazy when people kept asking to see what she looks like lol.
Best Wishes

Thanks Letitia for your comment back. It means a lot and I’m glad you realized that they were original. Also, thanks for the helpful tips. It has been my intention to add a picture of myself and pictures to the blog itself, but I’m so picky about what things look like and I don’t like how the pictures are coming out on my blog page. I’m going to have to play around for a bit to figure it out. Again, thanks for your comment!

I did Stacy London’s makeup while working as a makeup artist in LA. I actually didn’t know who she was at the time.

I just saw the Shoes and Handbag episode. I missed the designer of the “really comfortable” high heel shoes that have running shoe technology and shock absorbers. Help me find out the name of the designer please.

Cole Hahn is the maker of the shoes with the Nike technology. Not all Cole Hahn have the technology. Look for the word “Air” in the name.

Hey I was just wondering if anyone remembers the name of the designer that made the handbags with the funky names? I think one was called “the wow”. I meant to write it down but was watching the show at like midnight and fell asleep! Thanks!!

Hi–and thanks for the page and information.
I am looking for the shoe designer that was also an architect–he had the name “John” as either his first or last name (if I remember correctly)… it wasn’t the Haan collection… but she made a big deal about the comfort and structure of the shoe on the show (but then, she had just visited the podiatrist for the injections LOL)
Any idea who he was? Please email me… maverickcirevam@yahoo.com
Thanks!!!
